Vision

The MetLife vision plan provides a benefit for an eye exam, prescription glasses or contacts, frames, and discounts for laser vision correction.  If you visit a VSP Choice in-network provider, you pay a copay for your standard eye exam, and the plan pays a benefit of up to $130 for frames and contact lenses.  There are additional copays and costs that could apply for a contact lens exam and eyeglass lens options.  With the MetLife vision plan, you may visit any vision provider.  However in order to maximize your vision benefit, we encourage you to visit an in-network VSP Choice provider.

Employment Termination of Coverage

Upon your employment termination, it's important to understand how your vision plan coverage will be affected.

Your vision plan coverage will end on your last working day.

Your vision coverage is a COBRA eligible benefit. Under COBRA regulations, you have the option to extend your vision benefits for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of your coverage ending. This allows you to maintain access to the same vision benefits you had as an active employee.

Following your end of employment with Ecker Textiles, you will receive a comprehensive COBRA continuation notice. This notice will provide you with additional details and instructions on how to proceed with continuing your vision coverage under COBRA.
